This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 236

Hadley Grace is Eight Months Old!!!

This month has been my favorite thus far. Hadley has been so agreeable! The awful screams of fighting sleep are over. She has been SO happy, and that’s not just from my mouth. Everyone that has been around her this month has commented on how happy and well behaved she is. We have settled back into our school time routine and have a pretty good schedule. We have discovered that Adele’s 21 album is a fabulous after bath/rock to sleep choice.
Here is our famous monthly bulleted list of Hadley’s accomplishments/changes/interesting occurrences:
·       Hadley said Mama (this is first because it is the BEST part)
·       She has started to pull up and has tried to pull herself across the floor- leading me to believe crawling will start any day now
·       Her hair has grown like CRAZY- it can go into a ponytail!
·       She babbles all the time!
·       Hadley has learned how to pucker for a kiss!
·       She has had some new foods: broccoli (she likes) , squash (she does not)
·       We discovered she likes Yo, Gabba, Gabba- this really helps me get ready in the morning!
·       We aren’t sleeping through the night but are up 1-2 as opposed to 5, so this is progress
·       She is now big enough to ride in the cart they push the older infants around in at church
·       She has really become the social butterfly- she let’s anyone hold her and has never met a stranger
·       Hadley is awesome at restaurants. Several times this month we did dinner with a friend and she didn’t cry or scream once; she can entertain herself for a pretty good while
·       Hadley made an appearance at freshman orientation at my school
·       This was the first month she stayed with her dad for two nights, as opposed to one (this is last because it my least favorite- I miss her terribly by Sunday morning!)
I can’t believe my baby is only four months away from being a one year old- I really am loving her at this stage, but am SUPER excited to see what kind of toddler she will be too!
