This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 56

Today is FRIDAY!! Hadley and I were both ready for the weekend. After yesterday's blue fiasco, I just had to dress in her pink from head to toe to make everything right in the world! We spent the afternoon and evening playing. She is starting to want to "play" more now, which makes me happy. She is becoming more and more of a little person everyday (rather than just a sleeping/eating machine).

Day 55

If you have known me for any length of time, you probably know that I love the color pink, rather I am obsessed with the color. If you really know me, you also know that I detest the color blue. I have never liked it for a variety of reasons (I look awful in the color, my mother is obsessed with it- she has three blue rooms in her home, I just don’t like it). As a mommy to a little girl I obviously have gobs and gobs of pink clothes. However, when my friend from school Penny gave me two bows for Hadley, one was brown with an embroidered H on it; the bow was precious (don’t worry there are pictures below), so I had to find something to match it. After doing some digging I found the one blue onsie I happened to have passed down to me from my good friend Dianna…so I decided to pair with a pair of brown pants to match ( a pair of pants mind you, that in the past has always been paired with pink!) So without further ado, here is the final product (I have a feeling Hadley might look great in blue, after all it matches her pretty blue eyes):

Day 54

Today Hadley was going to go on an outing with her Nana and Granny, so of course I wanted to make sure she looked adorable (which isn’t hard to do, not that I’m partial). I figured this would be a great day to debut the ADORABLE shoes my friend Krista gave Hadley. I paired that with a new bow from a Penny, friend at work, and here is what Miss Hadley looked like, ready to go at 5:45am…

Day 52-53

For some reason these two days were hectic. I had a lot of stress at work and Hadley seemed to have a difficult time getting back on a schedule in which we left the house at 5:45am. We didn’t get a whole lot of sleep these two nights; she would wake up at 2:30 wide awake ready to play. So since both are schedules were off and we weren’t getting sleep, the only pictures I have are these two of a very sleepy Hadley at about 5am. In good news, that seems to be changing so we are getting back on track…

Day 48-51

We had a very special treat this weekend, Gigi came to stay with us. This made me happy for lots of reasons, but most notably, I got lots of extra sleep with someone here to help me! Gigi and Hadley got to do a lot of bonding, as my mom kept Hadley while I worked Friday. In the middle of a Wal-Mart trip Hadley started screaming for no apparent reason; while she was screaming got a good look in her mouth and was SHOCKED at what I saw. My 7 week old baby had already cut not just one, but 2 teeth. This would explain why sleep wasn’t coming as easy the past few nights and why we would continue to get very little sleep at night (when mommy really needed it).  Overall, we had a wonderful weekend, full of bonding, home cooked meals, and beautiful weather. Here are some photos from the weekend:

Day 46-Day 47

On Tuesday we made a trip down to Dallas to visit my fabulous North ladies. They were so nice and had a little baby shower for us. Hadley got some really cute clothes, that I cannot wait for her to wear. I got to enjoy cake, cocktails, and conversation. Hadley enjoyed being held all night, I am pretty sure that is her favorite past time.

Wednesday we just had a relaxing evening, since the night before I didn't get home until after 10- so I was pretty beat.

Day 45

Today was Hadley’s first Valentine’s Day, and of course she had an outfit for the occasion.  I personally love Valentine’s Day.  I love the décor: the hearts and pink and red, and the candy, and of course celebrating love. It was just me and Hadley this year, which made it even more perfect, she was the best Valentine I have ever had.

Day 44

Sunday means church, I bought Hadley a really cute Valentine's day dress and tights that she just had to show off to her Sunday school class today. I wanted white tights with little red hearts like I had when I was little (anyone else have those??), but we couldn't find them anywhere. What we did find were cute though, white tights with black Mary Janes on them. Here are some pictures, she wasn't really into having her picture made today...
