This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 123-125

We made the trip down to Humble for Mother’s Day. I was able to get on the road by 1:30, which made for good time on the road, I missed the bad traffic in Conroe and The Woodlands. Hadley is a pretty good car rider MOST OF THE TIME. We made a 25 minute stop for gas and a bottle, she was content for 30 minutes then the screaming started. So we pulled over a I sat in the back with her for a while. She slept for a good 3 hours and did pretty well the remainder of the trip down. Saturday we ran errands and tried out the swing my mom bought Hadley (she’s not quite ready for that yet) and had yummy burgers for dinner. Sunday was my first Mother’s day and it was a pretty great day. My mom and I both made out pretty well for our first mother’s day with Hadley. I got some picture frames and a candle and my mom got a Hadley mug, some pictures and a Hadley magnet. We went to the cemetery in Houston where my Aunt Myrle and Aunt Joyce are buried. I was on bed rest for Aunt Myrle’s funeral, so it was important for me to go, I wanted us to go on Mother’s day because she was like a mom to my mom and the closest thing I ever had to a grandma. After that, we met my cousins Carol and Madeleine and my Uncle Hub for a BBQ lunch. Then it was time to head back to Terrell. Hadley was good, with the exception of two screaming fits in which I though the devil had entered my car! As soon as I pulled over and sat with her, she was all smiles. I suppose she was afraid I wasn’t in the car! It was a nice weekend and the first of many Mother’s Days!
