Thoughts on a Tuesday...

I am asking for prayers for my family. It seems as if something really good could happen. I'm not going to jinx it, but instead ask for prayers/good vibes/etc. our way!

I just want to say again this mothers' day was really eye opening. First and foremost, one would think the people who are fully aware you are raising their daughter/granddaughter, might use this one occasion to say " hey, thanks for all you do, you know single handedly raising that little girl..." especially after receiving cards for every occasion and pictures every time we have them made. I guess I just expect too much. Conversely, the same day made me ever so thankful for my own mother, and family. They are always there for me and Hadley. It just really makes me think about what kind of person I want to be, and how I want to raise my child. I don't need mothers' day to know my daughter loves me, I can see that everyday. I also don't need the day to remind me how many amazing moms are in my life. I am truly lucky to have so many friends and role models that are world class moms! I especially am thankful for the fellow single moms that shoe me strength, grace, and dedication to their children every day! Being a mom is tough, and can sometimes be a really thankless job, so to all the moms I know, thank you for raising amazing kids, thank you for blazing the trail for me, thank you for your advice, god your shoulder to cry on, for your unconditional support, but mostly thank you for showing me that we are all in this together!
