This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 42-43

Hadley stayed overnight at her Nana's again, because I had to be at my early Saturday morning for the ACT. She got to visit with her cousin on Friday, which I don't have any pictures of...

Day 41

We have been going to Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall recently, and they have a support group called Divorce Care that started today. Which was exciting for two reasons: (1) I was looking forward to talking to other people in the same boat as me, and (2) it meant I had an excuse to dress Hadley in a cute Valentine's day outfit. If you know me at all, you know I am into decorating for each holiday ( I did it in my classroom, my home, my office, and now my baby is no exception). Here are some photos of Hadley in one of her 3 Valentine's day outfits...

Day 40

We had another snow day today...man I am sick of this cold weather; to make matters work my heater stopped working in the middle of the night and they didn't make it here until noon to fix it so we were bundled up...Hadley literally was under 10 blankets. In good news I got to stay home today, so I shouldn't complain.

Day 39

As I mentioned in the previous post gas has been a major problem for Hadley. She was in a lot of pain and screamed all night, which made it a problem for mommy who had to work the next day. I called the doctor and we switched her to the gentle ease formula which has made a big difference- it just stinks..A LOT. Day 2 at work was a little tougher, I had time to miss my baby. However, I have to work it isn't an option, so I put on a smile and get through it...here are her pictures from today.

Day 38

Today was my first day back at work. Luckily I was super busy  (I didn't even take a lunch), so I didn't really have a lot of time to miss her, that came later in the week when things slowed down. She has been staying with her Nana, so knowing that she is with someone I know and trust really helps.
When we got home today,  we started tummy time. I have put her on her tummy before, but she screamed so much I couldn't stand it. I read that tummy time helped with gas (which is a major problem for Hadley) so we have started doing it everyday.

Day 37

In pretty big news, Hadley rolled over to her side today. She is a little early on this task, so of course I am proud, but not surprised. She doesn't really like being on her back so much, she seems much happier on her stomach; I think she gets this from me, I have always been a stomach sleeper. Unfortunately I didn't capture this event on camera this time, but I will.
She and I spent a lot of time playing on her quilt today. Again she loves the patterns and seems more interested in the quilt than any toys. I got some pretty cute pictures of her playing, here they are:

Day 36

Hadley had her first overnight stay with her Nana today, so that I could get out of the house and take a little break. I missed my baby, but it was nice to get out of the house and have adult conversation with great friends. Besides Hadley loves her Nana and Paw-Paw and since they will be keeping her for the next three weeks (the doctor recommended that we wait until Hadley is 8 weeks to put her in daycare and I couldn't stay home that long) it was good for her to get used to that environment.
Speaking of environments, I put Hadley in her crib for a short nap today. This was the first time she has been in her crib for more than a few minutes. She is so fascinated by the patterns and colors and of course her mobile. Not too long ago, she wasn't so concerned with her surroundings, now she is fascinated by everything. She changes so much every day, in so many different ways.
