This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 63-65

This is the first weekend in a while it is just me and Hadley and I had no plans to go anywhere. It really was the most wonderful weekend. She is just full of personality and smiles. We played, rocked, napped, sang, read, danced, and cuddled. It was just a wonderful weekend of bonding. I was also quite productive during naps I cleared three trash bags of clothes out of my closet and completely reorganized it, I made some of those yummy crackers with ranch dressing mix, and did laundry. Sunday we went to church and I went to an orientation for the Parent Dedication that we are participating in the last Sunday of the month. I’m really excited about making this commitment to raise Hadley in the church and to help her grow in her faith, as someone that didn’t really grow up in church, I am hoping this will lay groundwork not just for Hadley, but any other children I have and their children.

I was the only single mom in attendance, which always makes me wonder what people think about me. I will be honest I am always  fearful people think I am some irresponsible person that had a child out of wedlock- which is not the case at all. I guess in time I will feel more comfortable in these types of situations. However, I do feel comfortable in knowing that the best decision was made for Hadley’s benefit, and that is what was most important at the end of the day. Either way we are happy and have a wonderful life, I really don’t care what others think that much anyway.

At service Hadley got so many compliments on how cute she was, I of course have to agree with them! She was so good, she didn’t cry at all and actually smiled through the music, I can really tell she is going to love music just like her mama!
To top of the weekend, she slept pretty good Sunday night- the perfect way to end a wonderful weekend (plus we got to sleep in a little because Hadley had her two month check up the following morning)

Day 62

I got my little sweet pea back this afternoon and we have officially decided it is back to Gentleease, Nana got no sleep (I know exactly how that feels). She was just a much happier baby on the other. After a night of no sleep…I got a pretty good night’s sleep out of her- yay for that.
Watching her "friends" in her swing.

Day 61

Tonight Hadley will be staying with her Nana and PawPaw as I have a scheduling workshop in Richardson, which was also a great excuse to make plans to see the fabulous North ladies! It was very weird to walk through the halls of North again, it made me realize  that even though I have only been in high school for a short time, that I am really glad that is where I am not (don’t get me wrong I will always LOVE LOVE LOVE the junior high age, just happy to be where I am!)

Day 60

Today was the TAKS test for me, which made for an uneventful day at work. I am not liking the new formula  at all…she spits up copious amounts and is fussier than ever- which at 2am, 3am, and 4am is not a good thing. Not much sleep for us tonight, thinking about switching back to Gentle Ease, we will wait it out and see.

Day 59

Hadley is 2 months old! My how time flies when you aren’t getting any sleep! Honestly, it is hard to believe how much she changes everyday- it truly is amazing. Hadley is smiling more and more everyday- it really is the best feeling in the world to have my daughter smile at me- I can’t explain how happy it makes me.  She is becoming so much more aware; she responds to sounds, stares at her mobile over her swing all the time (we call those dangling animals her friends..), and is making lots and lots of eye contact. She LOVES bath time- I think it is the best time of the day for both of us. We do a bath, listen to some music, have a bottle, read a story, and go to bed. It is so nice and peaceful and a great way to end the day.

As for the doctor he has suggested we switch to Netrumogen formula, the bad news is it is twice what we were paying for the Enfamil Gentleease. Really and truly it all just bums me out because it’s a painful reminder that I never wanted to formula feed- curse my blood pressure for that one (which by the way is STILL a work in progress)…

Day 58

Evidently Hadley had a rough night, she did not sleep well for her Nana at all. I am going to put a call in to the doctor to see what we can do- she is having lots of tummy trouble (I can’t imagine where she gets that from…). Since she didn’t sleep so well last night, she slept pretty much all afternoon/evening.

Day 57

Since Hadley was going to spend the night with her Nana (so mommy could have a night off), we spent most of the day cuddling. I think I held her and soaked up her baby smell all day. While I hate to leave the baby, after doing everything all by myself everyday- for my sanity and Hadley’s safety I find I occasionally need some time with adults away from the baby- in the end it is better for EVERYONE.
