This blog originally was intended to be a picture of the day blog; however, it has seemed to morph into a journal of sorts, it is mostly about Hadley and her daily happenings, but since I am writing it- you get a bit of me every once in a while too. I hope you enjoy reading about our lives!

Day 117

I picked Hadley up from her Nana’s at about 4 today. While I do enjoy my time with my friends, this was the first time I have been without Hadley for a period longer than 24 hours. It was a little hard. I am going to have to get used to this, it is unfortunately part of my life. I literally cried when I got her home and out of her carrier and into my arms; I just missed her so much. To make matters worse, she isn’t feeling too well and I could barely get her to smile…breaks my heart. Good thing we have a doctor’s appointment set for Tuesday

Day 116

Hadley is 4 months old!

Here are some highlights from this month:
  • starting eating rice cereal
  • began sleeping 5-6 hour stretches at night
  • first Easter and Easter basket
  • started spitting up A LOT (frequently and copious amounts!)
  • switched formula to AR for spit-up
  • rolled over from tummy to back a few times
  • more cooing, all vowel sounds, trying to do consonant sounds- not quite there
  • stills LOVES bath time
  • Went to a festival
  • had her first professional pictures taken
  • wore her first tutu
  • starting teething, which means lots of drool
  • started drinking 6oz bottles
  • smiled up a storm, trying really hard to laugh!
  • makes me the happiest person I have been just by smiling up at me with her big blue eyes and big smile

Day 115

TGIF! IT was TAKS week this week, which is always the most draining week EVER. Hadley and I both were ready for the weekend. She is staying with her Nana (so she can see her daddy) Saturday- Sunday evening, so I used all afternoon Friday to get in A LOT of cuddling time with my precious baby!

Day 114

I read on a blog this week, that to get babies used to eating solids, to introduce them to a spoon and let them play with it, so that's what we did. It's kind of a huge spoon, but she knew it was for her mouth (or rather she thinks EVERYTHING is for her mouth!)

Day 113

On the eating front, Hadley has started to spit up less on the formula. However, the change is not making her tummy too happy...hopefully this will all even out soon. We are going to the doctor on Tuesday and I am hoping to talk to them about acid reflux. Hadley is just a ball of personality, the daycare seems to have picked her as a favorite- they love to tell me about the things she does each day- I'm not going to lie, I love that they lover her. She is playing, smiling and laughing up a storm!

Day 113

Well, Hadley has started to be able to handle tummy time for longer intervals which is great...she has also taken to putting everything in her mouth as you can see below....

Day 112

H

Hadley is still working on this whole rolling over thing. Below are some pictures taken capturing her attempts to roll from her tummy to her back. She seems to get stuck on her side. It's a work in progress; she can do, she just doesn't do it all the time. Today was the first day I used Amazon mom, for all my mommy friends this is awesome. You get Amazon prime for a whole year- which means FREE SHIPPING....for diapers, wipes, and formula you can buy in bulk for a little bit cheaper and it's extra convenient. Just think no lugging a baby carrier into Walmart, Target, or wherever you buy essentials!
